Our 2nd grade teachers sure know how to make learning FUN! Our 2nd graders participated in a "Wax Museum" project for their Social Studies Heroes Unit. Second graders selected their Hero and did all necessary research for their written report while at school. They then wrote a short presentation for the museum for their friends and family. Some students even memorized their presentation! Friends and family came to the "Museum" and had the chance to meet the American heroes! Here are a few heroes they met: Neil Armstrong, Frederick Douglass, Cesar Chavez, Jane Goodall, Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Walt Disney, Mae Jemison, Sally Ride, Helen Keller and Maya Ying.
